This is a high-impact, people-focused leadership role responsible for elevating Business Analysis standards, ensuring quality requirements, and strengthening alignment between business and technology teams. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who influences through collaboration, builds trust quickly, and drives clarity across complex initiatives. 👥 Leadership Scope • Lead and mentor a team of 8–10 Business Analysts • Promote consistent BA standards and best practices • Remove obstacles and improve team effectiveness • Drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement 🛠 Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Standards & Requirements Excellence • Establish and refine BA methodologies, templates, and documentation standards • Ensure high-quality deliverables: BRDs, RTMs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data requirements • Validate requirements for business value and technical feasibility • Reduce rework through structured review and feedback • Support functional, non-functional, and data-related testing approaches 2️⃣ Stakeholder Alignment & Facilitation • Serve as a trusted liaison between business, IT, and vendors • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and cross-functional discussions • Support change management and proactive communication • Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to prioritize and manage risks 3️⃣ Executive Communication & Influence • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable documentation • Present recommendations confidently to senior leadership • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 4️⃣ BA Team Development • Mentor and coach Business Analysts • Strengthen analytical capabilities across the team • Improve BA processes, tools, and governance standards • Model accountability, transparency, and high-quality delivery ✅ Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience • 3+ years leading or mentoring Business Analysts • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling • Experience with Agile (Scrum / Kanban) • Experience with enterprise-level systems • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar ALM tools • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills ⭐ Preferred Qualifications • Experience contributing to a BA Center of Excellence • Background in data governance, data integration, or data quality • Familiarity with testing methodologies and automated testing tools • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills 🔑 Required Skills (Minimum Experience) • Business Analysis – 10+ years • Leadership & Mentoring – 7+ years • Communication – 7+ years • Stakeholder Management – 7+ years • Team Support & Guidance – 7+ years 📩 If you meet the above qualifications and are local to Virginia, please share your updated resume and availability-kishan.kumar@valueinnovationlabs.com #Hiring #BusinessAnalyst #LeadBusinessAnalyst #VirginiaJobs #VDOT #StateJobs #OnsiteOpportunity
