Lead Cloud Migration Engineer

job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join a major financial services project. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of large-scale data solutions using Ab Initio and cloud-native tools. This is an excellent opportunity to manage agile teams and drive complex data migrations within a high-impact banking environment. location: Telecommute job type: Contract salary: $50.00 - 56.20 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead and manage DWH and Cloud Agile teams through the full development lifecycle. Design, code, and deliver business solutions using Ab Initio, including Metaprogramming, PDL, and generic frameworks. Perform data migration and integration tasks for cloud applications. Identify the level of effort and enablers required for data ingestion and transformation within the Data Warehouse. Utilize Hadoop ecosystems, including Hive and Spark, for data processing. Coach team members and share expertise/insights to improve deliverables. qualifications: 5+ years of expert experience with Ab Initio (including PDL and generic frameworks). Proven experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry. Strong technical background in AWS (S3, Redshift) and Hadoop (Hive, Spark). Demonstrated leadership experience in an Agile project setting.
