Role description
Company Overview: A leading global growth equity investor with over $100 billion in assets under management is seeking a Lead Data Engineer / Architect. This role will focus on designing and delivering the firm's next-generation Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reference Data environment. Job Responsibilities: • Design and implement the enterprise data warehouse on a modern stack for financial, operational, and investor datasets. • Rebuild and govern accurate reference data domains ensuring proper lineage, version control, and cross-system consistency. • Architect and build end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and quality control workflows using technologies such as ADF, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, or equivalent toolsets. • Implement metadata management and automated lineage modeling frameworks using tools like Collibra or Purview. • Define standardized data models for analytical consumption, driving consolidation of financial, investor, and operational reporting datasets. • Collaborate with Finance, Fund Accounting, Operations, and Technology leaders to translate business logic into executable data rules and ETL designs. • Design and execute continuous monitoring mechanisms for data validity, timeliness, and completeness. Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience in data warehouse design, data modeling, ETL pipeline build, and master/reference data integration. • Self-sufficient and technically rigorous, capable of building infrastructure independently or within a small team. • Experience with metadata management and automated lineage modeling frameworks. • Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders, including the CIO and CFO. • Intellectually curious and focused on data integrity and business alignment.
