Location - 3 days hybrid in Irving, TX - looking for local candidates only
Rate - 70-81/hour W2

Lead Data Engineer - Azure / Databricks / ADF
Seeking a Lead Data Engineer to serve as the technical anchor for the enterpriseβs Internal Analytics Platform β the single source of truth for data and reporting. This hands-on leadership role focuses on Azure, Databricks, ADF, SQL, ETL, and data lake architectures, ensuring scalable, high-quality data solutions that power analytics and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
β’ Drive architecture across Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and data lake/delta lake environments.
β’ Build and optimize ETL pipelines and data models to support analytics and reporting.
β’ Implement CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi) for deployment automation.
β’ Mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of professional data engineering experience with proven technical leadership.
β’ Deep expertise in Azure ecosystem (Databricks, ADF, Key Vault, SQL, ADLS Gen2).
β’ Strong skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data ingestion, transformation, and curation.
β’ Experience designing data/delta lake and medallion architectures.
β’ Hands-on experience building scalable ETL pipelines and handling large data volumes.
β’ Proficiency with CI/CD and IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
β’ Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau and Agile development practices.
Success in This Role
Youβll be the go-to technical leader for data design and performance across Azure and Databricks, guiding teams toward scalable, efficient solutions and a trusted analytics platform.
