Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake / Informatica / ETL) – Long-Term Contract Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) A Texas-based organization is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for a large-scale enterprise data integration and analytics environment. This hands-on role will lead Agile development efforts while designing, developing, and supporting complex data integration, ETL, and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Snowflake, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, SQL development, and enterprise data engineering while serving as a technical leader for a collaborative Agile team. Important Requirements • Long-term contract opportunity • Hybrid role located in Austin, Texas • Candidates must be local to the Austin area • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • W2 only • No C2C or third-party vendors Key Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership for an Agile data engineering team • Design, develop, and support enterprise data integration and analytics solutions • Develop complex Snowflake SQL scripts, data transformations, views, and reporting structures • Build and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS • Acquire and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders on data acquisition and integration strategies • Develop automated testing and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies • Create and maintain technical specifications, documentation, process flows, and diagrams • Analyze changing business requirements and recommend enhancements to existing data platforms Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS • 8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and other structured and unstructured sources • 8+ years of experience developing complex Snowflake SQL solutions • Experience serving as a technical lead or senior contributor on data engineering, analytics, or data warehouse projects • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Experience with data modeling, technical documentation, and enterprise software delivery • Proven ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performing data solutions Preferred Qualifications • Experience working on Agile development teams • Experience with Python development and automation • Experience with JIRA • Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services • Experience with Java, JavaScript, MuleSoft, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines • Experience using AI-enabled technologies such as Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, or Informatica Claire • Experience working with healthcare, regulated, PII, or PHI data environments • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
