Lead Data Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative focused on building and evolving cloud-based data and analytics capabilities. In this role, you will work alongside a collaborative team of engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize modern data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You will contribute to the evolution of a scalable cloud data platform while helping establish best practices for data transformation, governance, and consumption. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building robust data pipelines, and contributing to modern analytics architectures in a fast-paced Agile environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines Build and optimize data transformation workflows within a modern cloud-based data platform Contribute to the development and enhancement of enterprise data models and semantic data structures Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions Support data quality, governance, and performance optimization initiatives Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives Assist in defining and implementing best practices for data engineering and analytics development Required Qualifications Strong experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines Hands-on experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms Experience with enterprise data warehousing and analytics solutions Familiarity with semantic modeling and data consumption layers Strong SQL and data transformation expertise Experience working within Agile delivery environments Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams Fluent English communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with modern cloud data warehouse technologies Exposure to data modeling, metadata management, and governance frameworks Understanding of data architecture principles and scalable analytics solutions Experience contributing to platform design and technical decision-making Why Join Intellias?
