Role description
Lead Data Engineer / Analytics Engineering Lead Contract Opportunity (Manufacturing | North America)
Iβm supporting a leading North American manufacturing company on a high-impact data engineering engagement focused on modernizing their internal data stack.
This is a 6 month contract, 40 hours per week, with a strong view to extend.
Rates are competitive and dependent on experience.
We engage contractors via W2 or personal LLC only and cannot work with C2C third parties.
This role is remote, operating within US time zones.
This is a chance to own and shape data engineering within a large enterprise environment:
β’ Lead improvements to data architecture across Snowflake, dbt and Tableau
β’ Review an existing dbt setup (no in-house dbt expertise today) and introduce scalable engineering best practices
β’ Design and build robust data pipelines and models, turning raw data into clean facts/dimensions and production-ready analytics layers
β’ Partner directly with business and technical stakeholders to influence how data platforms and models are designed and consumed
β’ Work hands-on with SQL / Python while also operating at an architectural level
Youβll join an existing team but act as the go-to data engineering lead, helping define what βgoodβ looks like across ingestion, modeling, and analytics enablement.
Greenfield-style influence inside a well-established manufacturing organization.
If you enjoy building core data foundations, untangling messy pipelines and models, and working close to the business while leading technically, this oneβs worth a look.
