Job Title: Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect Location: New York City, NY (Onsite – 5 days/week) Duration: 6–12 Months Domain: Asset Management, Alternative Investments, Financial Services Must have: 15+ Expirence on Data Engineering Role Overview We’re seeking a Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect to design and implement scalable enterprise data solutions. You’ll define the data strategy, lead engineering efforts, and ensure performance and quality across our cloud-based data platforms. Ideal candidates are strong in data architecture, modeling, and cloud data technologies with leadership experience in the financial domain. Key Skills • Core: Data Architecture, Data Modeling, ELT, Data Pipelines • Tech Stack: SQL (expert), Python, AWS (Glue, EMR), Snowflake • Concepts: Data Engineering Design Patterns, Data Governance, Optimization Responsibilities • Lead data architecture strategy and end-to-end data engineering development • Design and optimize data models, pipelines, and integrations • Partner with business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions • Ensure data quality, performance, and security compliance • Mentor data teams and enforce best practices in design and cloud architecture Qualifications • Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field • 8+ years in data engineering with strong Snowflake and AWS experience • Proven expertise in SQL and Python • Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management preferred • Certifications in Snowflake or AWS are a plus
