Job Title: Lead Data Scientist – AI / ML Engineering
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist with strong ML Engineering and AI Solution Architecture expertise to design and deliver enterprise AI initiatives. This role requires deep hands-on Data Science experience combined with the ability to architect scalable AI solutions in AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design end-to-end AI/ML solutions aligned with business needs
• Architect GenAI and future Agentic AI implementations
• Select appropriate LLMs, vector databases, and data storage solutions
• Build and deploy ML models using AWS AI services
• Drive AI strategy and solution delivery within small, agile teams
Required Experience:
• 10+ years overall experience with strong Data Science background
• 2–3 years AI solutioning experience (GenAI preferred)
• Experience with AWS stack: SageMaker, Bedrock, Kendra, Aurora
• Experience with MongoDB and Vector Databases
• Strong system design and architecture capabilities
