Job Title: Lead Data Scientist GenAI and Palantir Location: Atlanta, GA - Hybrid Work Experience: 12+ Years Type: Contract C2C/W2 or Full Time Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Lead Data Science with expertise in Generative AI and Palantir to lead our Data Science team. In this role, you will drive the strategy, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade GenAI solutions, including LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning. You will guide a team of data scientists and engineers while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful AI products that transform business processes. Key Responsibilities • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in designing, building, and deploying Generative AI solutions across domains such as customer service, document automation, summarization, and knowledge retrieval. • Define the roadmap and strategy for GenAI adoption, ensuring alignment with business goals. • Oversee the fine-tuning and adaptation of foundation models with domain-specific data. • Drive the design and implementation of scalable RAG pipelines, embedding models, and vector database integrations (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB). • Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, and bias mitigation. • Partner with product, engineering, and MLOps teams to deliver end-to-end AI workflows and deploy them via APIs or applications. • Stay ahead of emerging trends in LLMs, transformers, and GenAI, ensuring continuous innovation and competitive advantage. • Represent the Data Science team in leadership forums, communicating technical concepts and business impact clearly. Required Skills & Experience • Experience in Data Science / Machine Learning, including 3+ years leading teams and hands-on work in LLMs / Generative AI. • Proven track record of delivering enterprise AI solutions from concept to production. • Strong expertise in Python and ML/AI frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face). • Experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Mistral, LLaMA) and GenAI ecosystems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow). • Knowledge of embedding models, semantic search, and vector databases. • Familiarity with AWS and MLOps practices. • Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
