Role description
Lead Design Analyst
• Job Title: Lead Design Analyst
• Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Onsite 5 days/week – 100% shift availability, 8-5 Mountain Time mandatory)
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Tableau fluency – LOD expressions, parameters, advanced actions, Tableau Server workbook publishing/maintenance
• PowerPoint / presentation fluency – expert-level design presentations, custom template design, and branding
• SQL – basic proficiency
• Python – basic proficiency
• Strong portfolio in art and/or graphic design (must present design examples: dashboards, PowerPoints, infographics, branding kits, etc.)
• True passion for design
Role Overview
We are seeking a hybrid Data Visualization Designer and Analyst who lives at the intersection of art and data. This role is ideal for analysts with strong backgrounds in art, graphic design, etc., who are seeking opportunities to use their strong design background while improving exposure to more advanced data teams. This person will set the design standards for the team in Tableau, PowerPoint, wireframes, and general visual storytelling.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
• Set the design bar for the entire team; consistently wow stakeholders
• Design and develop high-fidelity, interactive dashboards in Tableau Desktop that are beautiful and insightful
• Build beautiful PowerPoint decks for executive leadership applying advanced graphic design principles (typography, layout, visual hierarchy) to technical data
• Move from raw data to polished visual concepts quickly without sacrificing quality
• Work across the table with fellow data peers to drive brand consistency across all data products
Interview Requirements
• Portfolio review required: Candidates must present a design portfolio including (but not limited to) Tableau Dashboard(s), presentations/PowerPoint decks, infographics, wireframes, branding kits, etc. Seeking work that reflects strong design and capacity to visually tell a story. Portfolio can include "pretend/demo" work.
• The "Why" Behind the Design: Be prepared to explain design choices – how color, spacing, chart selection, etc. were used to enhance the specific data story
