Role description
Title: Lead Developer
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long term
Mandatory Skills:
GCP microservices inbuilt
.Net Core, Kafka integration with REST endpoints API calls
General knowledge of TMS in supply chain
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
β’ Ability to develop a technical software solution to a business problem utilized by the various business areas and specifically Transportation systems that need data transformation, mapping and transferring.
β’ The ability to define the solution in verbal and documented states.
β’ Ability to create estimates for software development based on technical solutions that address business requirements.
β’ Ability to develop a work plan, taking into account the defined efforts by all contributing IT-impacted domains.
β’ With some maturation in role, ability to coalesce work plans into a roadmap for supply chain applications and specifically Transportation systems
β’ Knowledge of Golang, .NET Core, etc.
β’ API Development, high speed in-memory cache handling
β’ Ability to build and lead integration services to Blue Yonder TMS package
β’ Ability to integrate with shipment visibility packages like Fourkites/Project 44 etc.
β’ Experience integrating with Truck Load, Less than Truck Load and Intermodal
β’ Implementing industry standard best development practices.
β’ Knowledge of third party tools/platforms like SQL, XML and Agile development tools.
β’ Knowledge of cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP and Kafka streaming data.
β’ Ability to interface with legacy host systems like the I-Series.
β’ Listening and comprehension skills in working alongside business disciplines and other IT disciplines.
β’ Ability to work with business and prioritize requirements from business based on factors such as IT resources from different IT domains, overarching senior management direction, etc.
Experience Required:
β’ College degree in an applicable field of study or comparable experience
β’ Eight or more years of software application development experience specifically in Retail supply chain portfolio and TMS implementation
β’ Demonstrated logical analysis and problem solving skills
β’ Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
β’ Strong written and oral communication skills
β’ Excellent knowledge of the software application technologies utilized in the software application team to which the lead developer is assigned.
