Lead Engineer, External Data Analytics
Client: Confidential, Technology, InfoSec and Infrastructure
Location: Remote, United States
Type: Full time
On call: Yes, hypercare during peak administration periods

Join our clientβs platform team to build and operate secure, cloud native analytics that deliver real time insights for high stakes programs and internal operations. You will lead end to end delivery across data ingestion, transformation, APIs, and intuitive dashboards that must perform under peak traffic.
What you will do
β’ Lead hands on design and development of scalable data architectures, real time telemetry pipelines, APIs, and high performance analytics dashboards
β’ Embed observability, monitoring, and operational readiness across the stack with a focus on scalability, availability, and reliability
β’ Partner with data ingestion, security, and operations to ensure data quality and integrity, then deliver dashboards that scale seamlessly for external and internal stakeholders
β’ Provide technical leadership without people management, mentor engineers, and raise the bar for code quality, automation, and performance
Must haves
β’ 7 plus years building and operating scalable, cloud native applications, data pipelines, and analytics platforms in high availability environments
β’ Front end experience with TypeScript and React for analytics dashboards and data driven UIs
β’ Back end experience with Node.js with TypeScript preferred and Python for APIs, event driven services, and data processing
β’ Deep data engineering experience across ingestion, transformation, and orchestration for real time and near real time workloads, including work with large data volumes
β’ Machine learning and AI in production required, such as predictive models, anomaly detection, and trend insights, including deployment and monitoring experience
β’ Cloud experience with AWS including serverless and Lambda
β’ Security and governance experience including RBAC and secure access patterns
β’ Observability experience with common monitoring and dashboarding tools
β’ Strong communication, mission focus, and authorization to work in the United States
Nice to have
β’ Experience with SaaS or multi tenant analytics and familiarity with patterns that support isolation and horizontal scale
