Lead Engineer

Grass Valley AMPP – Workstream Lead Contract Remote/Hybrid Rates: Negotiable We’re looking for a senior Grass Valley AMPP Workstream Lead with proven, hands-on delivery experience. You must have successfully built and delivered AMPP into live, operational client environments, ideally more than once. This is a senior technical-delivery role owning one or more AMPP workstreams (e.g. Live Production, Playout, Media Processing, Control or Cloud Infrastructure) within a large broadcast transformation programme. What you’ll do • Act as the AMPP subject-matter expert for your workstream • Own end-to-end delivery (architecture, build, integration, go-live) • Define and validate cloud-native AMPP architectures and workflows • Lead engineers, vendors and SIs within your stream • Manage technical risk, dependencies and delivery milestones • Oversee integration with third-party broadcast systems (NRCS, MAM, Ads, Monitoring, DRM, etc.) • Serve as the technical interface between the client, Grass Valley and partners What we’re looking for • Hands-on Grass Valley AMPP implementation experience (essential) • Demonstrable delivery of AMPP into live production or playout environments • Strong broadcast & OTT workflow knowledge (Live, Playout, Processing) • Cloud experience (AWS essential; Azure/GCP a plus) • IP video standards (SMPTE 2110, NDI, SRT, RTP) • Microservices, APIs, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) • Experience leading complex technical workstreams If you haven’t delivered AMPP hands-on into a live client environment, this role won’t be a fit.
