Role description
Position Title: Lead Hadoop Developer
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH
Ability to work remote: In office, some flexibility could be available in the future
Travel: If in Ohio, could have to travel to Pittsburgh - 1 a month, or 1 every two months
Days of the week: M-F, some flex hours on the weekends depending on the urgency of project
Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5 pm EST, 40 hours
Acceptable time zone(s): EST
Intended length of Assignment: 6 months
Potential for Contract Extension: Possibility, depending on performance. Would prefer to convert within the 6 month period.
Contract to Hire, W2
Function of the group: Developing Data Requirements based on Regulation Requirements
Current initiatives/project(s) that this resource will be impacting
Industry background: Nice to have - Banking experience is desirable
Team dynamic - 12/all of them are 5+ years /Pittsburgh/Dallas/OffShore
Roles and Responsibilities: Design and implement new applications/maintain existing applications/ Support RTB functions
Technical Skills required: (6+ years)
• Spark3
• Python
• Shell Scripting
• Hadoop Cloudera - Hadoop admin , Hadoop Tables/hdfs file processing
• Data and System Architectural experience
• Knowledge with Data Modelling using Erwin Tool.
• Knowledge with Alation or any data mining/reporting tools
Flex Skills: Agile methodology, Jira, GIT Bash, Jenkins, uDeploy, CA7
Soft Skills: Team Player/ Analytical skills /Banking industry experience/ 3+ years development experience
Required Degrees/Certifications: Minimum Bachelors, Graduate/Masters a plus. Relevant certifications if any
Role Differentiator: Career Growth/comfortable work environment/good team members

1. Video interview with manager (1 hour max)
1. In-person interview - Technical Assessment - (1 hour)
1. In-person Panel interview - same day as round 2 - (1 hour)
