Role description
Job Title: Lead Java Services Engineer
Location: Remote and then hybrid (Upon conversion: Miami, FL – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Experience: 15+ Years
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 17+)
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot 3.x
• Experience with Spring MVC and Spring WebFlux (Reactive Programming)
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL (Spring GraphQL, schema-first design, federation)
• Experience with Apache Kafka (producers/consumers, Avro, schema registry)
• Strong knowledge of Redis caching and Spring Data Redis
• Experience implementing Resilience4j patterns (circuit breaker, retry, timeout)
• Experience with REST integrations using WebClient/RestTemplate
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (e.g., ElastiCache)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Strong testing practices and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
• Active usage of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude AI)
• Ability to be hands-on while leading/mentoring teams
