Kforce has a client that is seeking a hybrid Lead Java Developer to join their team in Alpharetta, GA. Summary: This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building scalable, cloud-native applications. You will lead development efforts on enterprise-grade solutions, mentor junior developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
β’ Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to define technical requirements and deliver solutions
β’ Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices
β’ Optimize application performance and scalability in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
β’ Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
β’ Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI and cloud computing
Requirements
β’ Java (8+): Strong proficiency in core and advanced Java concepts
β’ Spring Boot: Deep experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
β’ Microservices Architecture: Proven ability to design and implement distributed systems
β’ Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (deployment, monitoring, scaling)
β’ CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
β’ Leadership: Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
