Role description
JOB TITLE: Lead Places Data Partner (12-months secondment/FTC) SALARY: £59,850 - £66,500 LOCATION: Bristol HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About the Opportunity This role will support owning the Places Sustainability Data agenda - focusing on turning operational data into trusted, decision-grade insight that accelerates delivery of the Group's operational climate pledges across Carbon, Energy, Travel, Water, Waste and Nature. You'll steward the Places sustainability data domain end‑to‑end: partnering with internal People & Places (P&P) Data Hub teams, Sustainability, Facilities Management, Workplace Experience and Finance; shaping data products and pipelines; lifting data literacy; and ensuring reporting is robust, compliant and actionable. Enhance sustainability data products for Bank's commitments by ensuring precise measurement, forecasting, and compelling insights for informed decisions. You'll champion the P&P Data Hub ways of working and embed standard process across stakeholder groups. What you'll do • Own the Places Sustainability Data domain - vision, roadmap, backlog and outcomes - for data sources, dashboards, metrics and models used to supervise and forecast the Bank's operational pledges • Lead all aspects of analytics using MI tools and embed narrative data storytelling in exec ready outputs • Act as the primary data partner for Sustainability and Places stakeholders - triaging and prioritising demand • Educate and upskill stakeholders on metrics, definitions and interpretation; run teach-ins, clinics and playbooks to raise data literacy and self serve adoption • Curate compelling data stories for senior forums - surfacing trends, risks, opportunities and trade‑offs that guide portfolio choices • Support with day-to-day reporting needs and tactical reporting required by Sustainability stakeholders while the strategic work is ongoing • Champion Group Data Policy across the Places sustainability domain (quality, issues, lineage, controls) Why Lloyds Banking Group From building a truly sustainable business to creating a place where people love to work, we need colleagues who are up for the challenge of our bold ambitions. Who are excited to push boundaries and make change happen. Together, we can grow with purpose. What you'll need • Proven at translating complex operational and/or sustainability data into actionable, Exec ready insight and recommendations • Strong experience with Power BI / Tableau / Excel; comfortable with SQL for data wrangling and analysis • Practical understanding of data privacy policies, issues management processes • Track record partnering with business teams to land measurable outcomes at pace • Can-do attitude, and strategic approach when setting up products. And any experience of these would be really useful • Sustainability data proficiency: Understanding of operational sustainability metrics and frameworks (e.g., emissions scope and carbon metrics) and how these roll into Group pledges and disclosures • Knowledge of LBG operational sustainability targets and reporting cadence • Knowledge and experience with Google Cloud and BigQuery, and working with engineering teams.
