Job Title: Lead Python Developer with Microservices Experience Client: Capgemini / Comcast Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite 3–4 Days/Week) Type: Long-Term Contract Rate: Competitive – W2 / 1099 Job Description: We are actively hiring a Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Microservices architecture to support one of our strategic engagements with Capgemini/Comcast. The role requires an onsite presence in Philadelphia, PA for 3–4 days a week. Please note: This role is not suitable for candidates coming from a data analyst background. We are strictly looking for candidates with solid backend engineering experience. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deploy scalable backend services using Python and Microservices • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build RESTful APIs • Ensure high code quality through testing and best practices • Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies • Work closely with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines Required Skills: • 7+ years of backend development experience using Python • Deep understanding of Microservices architecture • Experience building RESTful APIs • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred: • Experience working in media/telecom domains • Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Work Authorization: • Open to US Citizens, Green Card holders, or other valid EADs • No H1B sponsorship or third-party candidates at this time Local to Philadelphia or willing to relocate.
