Lead Python Quant Engineer - 6-12 Month Initial Contract

Exciting opportunity for a Lead Python Quant Engineer to join a long-term project at a Global Energy Company. This role involves working closely with quant developers, analysts, and traders, so strong technical expertise combined with an analytical mindset is essential. Skills and Experience: • Expert Python skills with recent hands-on experience • Strong background in web development, cloud platforms (Azure), Docker, and automated testing (essential) • Knowledge of DevOps practices, ideally with Terraform and GitHub Actions • Experience in data engineering, including Spark, data lakehouses, and Kafka • Solid understanding of mathematics and finance, with familiarity in areas such as PnL, Greeks, volatility, partial derivatives, and normal distribution • Demonstrated background within Commodities Trading, specifically Derivatives With a focus within Energy Trading, Oil & Gas, Financial Markets and Commodities, we offer a transparent Recruitment Service that has proven to be reliable and effective for over 40 years.
