Job Description
The Senior Lead Software Engineer provides technical leadership across complex, businessβcritical systems. This role leads design, development, and delivery of scalable, highβperformance applications while mentoring engineering teams and enforcing engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
β’ Serve as the technical lead for major development initiatives, ensuring architecture, code quality, and solution integrity.
β’ Design and implement highly performant data and application components leveraging deep Snowflake expertise, including performance tuning, cost optimization, and secure data sharing patterns.
β’ Collaborate with architecture, product, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned to FIS standards.
β’ Drive engineering excellence: code reviews, CI/CD maturity, automated testing, observability, and operational readiness.
β’ Diagnose complex issues across distributed systems and provide guidance for long-term resolution.
β’ Mentor engineers, providing technical coaching and elevating overall team capability.
Qualifications
β’ Proven experience as a lead or senior engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
β’ Expert-level Snowflake experience including architecture, SQL performance tuning, resource optimization, and integration with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
β’ Strong experience with distributed systems, modern development frameworks, and DevOps practices.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes across multiple workstreams.
