Role description
Position: Lead Udeploy Engineer
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX and Phoenix, AZ
Days of the week: Monday through Friday, willing to go 5 days a week onsite however might be hybrid during contract period
Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5 (After hours support for Udeploy platform change controls as well as consumer changes involving DevOPS and specifically Udeploy)
Acceptable time zone(s): EST/ CST preferred
OT: potential
Target Start Date: Intended length of Assignment: 12 Months
Contract to Hire, W2
Current initiatives/project(s) that this resource will be impacting: After hours support for Udeploy platform change controls as well as consumer changes involving DevOPS and specifically Udeploy
Industry background: Financial would be nice to have
Team dynamic: team mostly in Strongsville
Roles and Responsibilities: Combination of supporting customers and enhancing the current environment Upgrade the versions of Udeploy (do not just need a USER need an ADMIN, hands on experience) Planning the upgrade using their past knowledge of similar projects
Technical Skills:
โข General Support and Engineering skillset.
โข Udeploy knowledge as administrator with the ability to deploy it for enterprise support.
โข Pipeline experience Open Req (IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy))
Required:
โข 4+ experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy)
โข Installation, configuration and overall administration, software engineering and support
โข Experience with IBM license key center as well as the process of managing Udeploy licenses
โข Onboarding of consumers of the Udeploy application
โข Coding experience (groovy, ansible, python etc..)
โข Experiencing building and supporting Udeploy custom plugins (ex integration with ServiceNow)
โข Experience in supporting and upgrading vendor provided plugins
โข Familiarity in working with and using RHEL
Flex Skills:
โข Ansible scripting experience ยง Automating various engineering tasks, install, configure, upgrades, etc..
โข GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins experience โ Knowledge of and experience with Blue/Green deployments
โข Knowledge of and experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
โข Familiarity with java development, this is to support a java application that we have that wraps the UDClient
Soft Skills: Great communication Ability to work in a virtual environment Ability to mentor junior team members Ability to adapt to new requirements and technologies
Degrees/Certifications: Nice to have- Associates to a Masters
Role Differentiator: Team has the ability to grow with new technologies
Interview Process:
1- 30 min- HM and Product Owner 2- 30/45 min- Technical team
