Job Summary: The Financial Content Writer & Editor will support BNY’s Integrated Marketing team by creating, curating, and governing high-impact content across our website content, and related digital channels. This role drives storytelling that reflects BNY’s strategic pillars, strengthens client engagement, and elevates the firm’s market presence. The writer will translate complex financial concepts into authoritative thought leadership while partnering across marketing, product, compliance, legal, and subject-matter experts. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. Remote is also possible. Key Responsibilities: • Content Strategy & Creation: Drive the creation, curation, and governance of high-impact financial content that aligns to BNY’s strategic pillars and marketing campaigns. Turn complex financial topics into compelling storytelling that reflects BNY’s global voice. • Editorial Development: Participate in editorial planning for our website content, and related web channels; ensure accuracy, clarity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, platform, segment marketing, compliance, legal, and SMEs to develop authoritative content. Consult with marketing teams to refine concepts, outlines, and narratives for thought leadership pieces. • Campaign Support: Manage content strategy through the full production lifecycle; support broader awareness and marketing campaigns by coordinating with teams working on email, digital, and client-facing channels. • Data Integration & Visualization: Interpret charts, data, and financial visuals; integrate insights into content and identify opportunities for improved visual storytelling on web pages and digital experiences. • Editorial Calendars & Governance: Manage and socialize editorial calendars, ensuring alignment on content cadence, visibility, and capacity. • Performance Measurement: Assess content performance data and use insights to refine strategy, positioning, and prioritization. • AI-Enabled Content: Leverage digital platforms, analytics tools, and AI to generate content outlines, accelerate production, and support-versioning/personalization for targeted segments. • Stakeholder Management: Act as a high-functioning content strategy consultant—asking sharp questions, driving clarity, ensuring continuous improvement, and coordinating across multiple internal stakeholders. • Culture & Principles: Ensure all content reflects BNY’s principles—client-obsessed, own it, spark progress. Qualifications: • 5–7+ years of content strategy, editorial leadership, or financial content writing experience (financial services or financial news strongly preferred). • Familiarity of financial markets, financial products, private credit, collateralized loan obligations, and broader industry trends. • Experience producing thought leadership, product narratives, and campaign-oriented content across digital channels. • Ability to independently manage complex, multi-stakeholder content projects with minimal oversight. • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and strategic thinking skills; attention to detail. • Ability to analyze charts, data, and financial visuals—and integrate them into compelling narratives. • Familiarity with digital architecture, enterprise web UX best practices, and content governance. • Strong stakeholder management and comfort working with senior subject-matter experts. • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Experience: • Experience with Workfront or similar content management platforms. • Strong comfort using AI for ideation, outline creation, and content acceleration. • Exposure to personalizing or versioning content by segment. • Marketing campaign experience across digital, video, podcast, and print channels. • Ability to guide marketers on narrative development, positioning, and visual opportunities.
