We are seeking a skilled and proactive Liferay DXP Engineer to lead the development, deployment, and optimization of Liferay-based digital experiences. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across Linux, Tomcat, and MySQL environments, alongside hands-on experience integrating identity management tools like Okta and customizing enterprise portals to meet business needs. 🔧 Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain Liferay DXP instances on Linux/Tomcat/MySQL stacks. • Manage DevOps pipelines related to Liferay, including version upgrades, deployments, and rollback strategies. • Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness. • Design and implement custom portal solutions using Liferay, aligning with functional and branding requirements. • Integrate Liferay with Okta for secure SSO and identity management workflows. • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, performing root cause analysis and preventive actions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, system architects, and QA engineers. • Maintain documentation of configurations, deployment procedures, and custom module designs. 🎯 Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Liferay DXP, including module development and configuration. • Proficiency in Linux environments and web server configuration (Apache/Tomcat). • Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases. • Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD, containerization, automation scripts) in the Liferay ecosystem. • Demonstrated ability to tune performance across application, server, and database layers. • Integration expertise with Okta or other identity providers. • Solid understanding of portal architecture, JSP/Java, and Liferay’s service builder and plugins. 🧾 Preferred Qualifications • Liferay certification(s) or equivalent. • Experience with cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure). • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and microservices integration. • Knowledge of accessibility and responsive design principles.
