What You'll Get to Do:
Support the functions to generate logistics-related analytics and reports. Communicate with the vendor(s) which will provide us with the resources to create the reports on a day-to-day basis and ensure the accuracy and timeliness to submit the reports. Create templates for canned reports depending upon the business requirements and work on the ad-hoc reports depending upon the complexity and needs within the company. Guide vendor(s) by sharing the knowledge base and skills to maximize the performance of the planning operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
Standardizing reports and KPI:
β’ Create and maintain standard report templates for all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports.
β’ Develop and Maintain SOP's for all the reports created.
β’ Develop new KPI's to monitor current operations and flag any abnormalities immediately.
β’ Make sure the reports generated are within 99% accuracy.
β’ Drive the initiatives in providing the sales organizations and the PEXNA supply chain team with additional visibility though new analytical tools and reports.
β’ Develop the analytics capabilities by detecting, eliminating and improving the current reporting processes with available automation approaches.
Ad-hoc reporting:
β’ As a point person to receive all requests regarding ad-hoc reports, ensure that all of the ad-hoc reports are completed in a timely fashion and with accuracy. Depending upon the complexity and the size of the projects as well as the requested timeframe, ensure that the resources in a remote location are effectively utilized.
β’ Utilize the skills and knowledge to develop and maintain the inbound and outbound transportation rating engines by applying multiple logics and assumptions that are applied in the logistics operations appropriately so that the output from such rating engines are within 99% accuracy compared to the actual freight costs that are paid via the actual invoices.
β’ Work closely with the functional managers and solution managers in the simulation studies for the business units, provide analytics support and insights across different scenarios by utilizing the global supply chain and logistics operation knowledge.
β’ Provide the solution managers with the most updated market trends for international ocean freight, and work with international and domestic logistics team closely to align the business with its respective financial impact from the market wave on a regular basis.
β’ Drive the initiatives in supporting operation manager and transformation team in the LEAN continuous improvement saving projects by establishing the benchmark, designing the analytical templates and reports to capture the savings accurately that reflects the market conditions and any possible changes, and coordinating with the involved internal and external parties directly in reconciling information and ongoing data analytics.
β’ Support procurement and transportation team with domestics RFP projects across different shipping modes, and assist with data transformation.
β’ Support FPS team with identifying Inbound rating issues and help improve the current process to support business efficiency.
β’ Working cross functionally with not just the FPS team within client supply chain, but also Client finance and business units directly to refine the current accrual process and provide additional financial visibility and corresponding logistics insights to the BU, in order to support business's decision making.
β’ Adopt advanced IT technologies and software solutions that are available in the market to perform highly technical logistics simulations and analyses with the purpose of developing the most efficient logistics programs that will best fit the ever-changing business models and processes.
β’ (Solution Manager Role and responsibility) Take on additional solution manager's responsibility in operational compliance activities and regularized accounting reporting and business analytical needs, in supporting the business units directly with their logistics related inquires and activities.
β’ Provide necessary training and hold the introductory session for the reporting ecosystem from the planning side to any new manager onboarded within the client supply chain team.
Additional Job Details:
Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Software:
β’ Monitor/verify data integrity coming across in reports from Data Warehouse.
β’ Work with Client IT Dept. to help improve functionality of Data Warehouse.
β’ Support Optimization of SSRS reporting and data visualization.
β’ Create and Manage KPI reporting using Power BI
β’ Act as the liaison between the logistics planning team and operation team. Articulate the business needs and intra-organizational dependencies with different shareholders and apply into the actual analytical practices and dashboard creation.
β’ Provide additional technical supports to the supply chain team member in major reporting software tools.
Manage Outsourcer/Vendors:
β’ Support the remote analytics operations by evaluating the daily/weekly/monthly KPI and by working with individuals who are assigned to each of the tasks.
β’ Lead the task delegation and daily standup call with team members, and act as the key support and back up to ensure the delivery of high-quality reports.
β’ Lead the reporting process improvement with 3rd party analysts by driving the clear ownership and accountabilities across tasks, to operates at the maximum efficiency possible.
β’ Coach and mentor the new hire from the outsourcers, and provide training in reports, technical tools and required business background.
β’ Lead team with troubleshooting, align with business requirements and closely follow up with customers to meet their expectations from the planning team's end;
β’ Develop and coordinate a streamlined reporting approach for all off-site logistics analysts.
β’ Guide the outsourcers/vendors by sharing the knowledge base and skills to improve their skills in analyzing and understanding business.
β’ As liaison between the outsourcers and Client, the position will ensure smooth communication between the two entities and timely submission based on the commitment made to the recipients of such reports.
What You'll Bring: Education & Experience:
β’ Master degree in Supply Chain analytics and MBA degree
β’ 6 years of cross-functional logistics/supply chain experiences
β’ Experience in multi-cultural corporate environment is preferred.
β’ Possess business knowledge of consumer/B2B electronics.
β’ Knowledge of database reporting packages (e.g. SQL, SAP, Cognos, SSRS, Microstategy etc.) , Power BI and Microsoft Office software suite.
β’ Lean Six Sigma (green belt) certificated, and Microsoft certified "Excel Expertβ Other Requirements: Travel Required 10%.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $40-45 per hour.
