Role description
Machine Learning Data Analyst Location: Westchester, PA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Our client is seeking a motivated Machine Learning Data Analyst to join their growing team in Westchester, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong analytical and technical foundation who is eager to gain hands-on experience supporting machine learning initiatives in a cloud-based environment. In this role, you will partner with senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights and help support the development and deployment of machine learning solutions. Key Responsibilities • Support the development, training, and deployment of machine learning models using AWS tools such as SageMaker, Lambda, and EC2. • Extract, organize, clean, and preprocess large datasets stored in S3, Redshift, or similar cloud data platforms. • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for model improvement. • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows to streamline model training and deployment processes. • Conduct model validation, performance monitoring, and accuracy checks to ensure reliability over time. • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Document data processes, model configurations, and workflows to support reproducibility and continuous improvement. • Follow best practices for data governance, security, and handling of sensitive information. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or related projects; exposure to AWS environments preferred. Technical Skills • Strong Python skills with experience using libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, and NumPy. • Familiarity with AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, Lambda, S3, Redshift). • Solid understanding of data cleaning, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques. • Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating datasets. • Exposure to Docker and Git for version control and collaboration is a plus. • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn) preferred.
