Role description
Our client, a leader in aerospace manufacturing, is hiring an AI/ML Engineer to join their team remotely!
•
• This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits
•
• As the AI/ML Engineer, you will design, build, and test machine learning models that support the development of innovative AI-driven products. This role will collaborate with cross-functional experts, including weather data specialists, to translate complex problems into scalable machine learning solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models to support product outcomes
• Develop and maintain production-grade Python code using ML libraries and frameworks
• Collaborate with domain experts and cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into ML solutions
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including retrospectives, to evaluate progress and improve team processes
• Ensure compliance with internal AI governance, security, and product development standards
• Build proof-of-concept prototypes and support their transition into operational environments
• Communicate technical progress, model performance, and project updates to stakeholders and leadership
Desired Skills:
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models
• 4+ years of experience writing production-grade Python code with ML libraries
• Experience designing, training, and validating ML models for real-world applications
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical work for stakeholders
• Experience with development workflows such as GitHub, code reviews, VS Code, and tools like Jira
• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets and data formats such as JSON, CSV, or YAML
• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies preferred
