Location: Hybrid – Bolingbrook, IL
Our client is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to support large-scale personalization efforts in a dynamic retail environment. This role will focus on building, deploying, and optimizing machine learning models that drive tailored customer experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and platform specialists, to deliver impactful solutions on modern cloud infrastructure.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and Spark
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks
• Solid background in machine learning engineering (beyond just modeling or analysis)
• Experience working on retail or consumer personalization projects is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
• Build and productionize machine learning models to support personalization and recommendation systems
• Partner with data scientists to scale research prototypes into production-ready systems
• Collaborate with data and platform engineering teams to deploy models on GCP and Databricks
• Monitor and maintain model performance in production environments, retraining as needed
• Optimize existing ML pipelines for performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance
