The Role:
We are seeking a Manager, Data & Commercial Analytics, for a project based assignment, to lead and elevate the commercial analytics function as the organization scales globally. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for transforming growing volumes of retail, ecommerce, wholesale, and client data into clear, trusted, and actionable commercial decisions. You will combine people management with direct analytical ownership, defining KPI frameworks, driving performance storytelling, and leading high-impact analyses that inform trading, merchandising, marketing, clienteling, and financial decisions. This role will help transition the organization from ad-hoc reporting to a disciplined, scalable analytics operating rhythm while remaining pragmatic, fast-moving, and closely connected to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operating Model
• Lead the Data & Commercial Analytics function.
• Own analytics intake, prioritization, and delivery across commercial domains.
• Define and implement KPI frameworks and performance reporting cadence.
• Establish a consistent reporting house style and performance rhythm across channels.
Team Management & Development
• Manage and develop a Senior Data Analyst and BI Analyst.
• Set performance standards, goals, and professional development paths.
• Foster a disciplined yet pragmatic analytics culture.
Hands-On Analytics & Insights
• Lead high-impact commercial analyses across retail, ecommerce, and wholesale.
• Drive client analytics initiatives and experimentation.
• Elevate the quality, clarity, and business relevance of insights delivered to leadership.
Data, Platform & AI Collaboration
• Design and guide data models and dashboards to ensure consistency and trust.
• Partner with technology teams to strengthen data foundations.
• Pilot pragmatic, responsible AI-assisted analytics capabilities.
Stakeholder Partnership & Storytelling
• Act as the primary analytics partner for senior commercial leaders.
• Deliver executive-ready insights and performance narratives.
• Translate complex data into concise, decision-ready recommendations.
Required Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in analytics, including leadership exposure.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Strong experience with BI tools and dashboard development.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen in performance-driven environments.
• Experience managing or mentoring analysts.
• High discretion and sound judgment.
• Polished and concise communication style.
• Comfortable working with both creative and commercial leaders.
• Pragmatic, accountable, and execution-oriented.
• Strong storytelling ability with data.
Nice to Have:
• Experience in luxury or premium retail environments.
• Exposure to Python or R.
• Experience in client analytics and experimentation frameworks.
Location:
• Must be available to work onsite 4x a week in DTLA
