Market Risk BA/PM Jersey City|NYC $68/hour Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote 18 Month W2 Contract Position Overview We are seeking a Market Risk Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) to lead a high-profile Data Remediation Program within the Market Risk organization. This role is heavily focused on program and project delivery while serving as the liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Capital Markets and Market Risk, with experience supporting Value at Risk (VaR) processes and driving large-scale data remediation initiatives. This individual should be comfortable analyzing data, managing Agile delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, and communicating effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead the planning and execution of a Market Risk Data Remediation Program from initiation through delivery. • Partner with Market Risk, Technology, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and define remediation strategies. • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. • Manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reporting. • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of remediation initiatives. • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder reviews. • Utilize SQL to analyze data, validate remediation efforts, and support root cause analysis. • Review and understand Python scripts to collaborate effectively with development teams (coding is not required). • Track project progress using JIRA and ensure alignment with business priorities. • Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or BA/PM supporting enterprise technology initiatives. • Strong experience leading data remediation, data quality, or data governance programs. • Solid knowledge of Capital Markets and/or Market Risk. • Experience supporting Value at Risk (VaR) analysis and market risk reporting. • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation. • Experience working with JIRA in Agile delivery environments. • Working knowledge of Python, with the ability to read and understand code. • Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and project coordination experience. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with regulatory or enterprise data initiatives. • Knowledge of market risk data architecture and financial data flows. • Experience working within large investment banking or capital markets environments. • Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
