Job Description:
The Marketing Analyst - Level 1 will play a key role in supporting marketing, measurement, and reporting efforts within a new team established in April. The role involves organizing and analyzing data from various platforms, assisting in the development of reports, and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. This individual will also contribute to the development of new processes, maintain financial models, and support senior leadership with data visualizations and insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Collect, organize, and analyze data from various platforms, including Salesforce, to support reporting needs.
β’ Manage and maintain an intake system for reporting requests, primarily from internal teams, and deliver timely and accurate reports.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, industrial, and residential units, to ensure reporting aligns with business objectives.
β’ Create reports and dashboards using Salesforce, Excel, and other tools, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
β’ Prepare visualizations, charts, and performance boards to present data and insights to senior leadership.
β’ Conduct ad-hoc analyses and respond to urgent reporting requests from multiple business units.
β’ Participate in regular meetings to understand reporting needs, clarify requirements, and collaborate on delivering the appropriate data sets.
β’ Adapt to changing priorities and tasks based on evolving team needs and project requirements.
β’ Support program evaluation by providing historical data and performance metrics for review by third-party evaluators.
Qualifications:
β’ Education & Experience: Bachelorβs degree preferred (business, marketing, analytics, or related field), but equivalent experience will be considered. Ideally 2-5 years of experience in marketing, business analysis, or a related role.
β’ Technical Skills:
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and data visualization).
β’ Experience with Salesforce reporting and Einstein Analytics is strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
β’ Basic knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
β’ Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex data sets and create meaningful reports that provide actionable insights.
β’ Adaptability: Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with changing priorities and requirements.
β’ Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify reporting needs.
β’ Self-Starter: Motivated to take initiative, ask questions, and seek clarification when necessary, with a willingness to learn on the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in a utility or energy sector is a nice-to-have but not required.
β’ Prior experience in a large matrixed organization is beneficial, but candidates from various industries will be considered.
β’ Familiarity with CRM systems and database management tools, such as Salesforce, is highly desirable.
