Role description
Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Social Impact & Sustainability Manager to support a leading global payments technology client. This role is ideal for a communications and program management professional with expertise in social impact storytelling, content strategy, knowledge management, and stakeholder engagement who enjoys creating meaningful narratives and driving collaboration across global teams. Job Title: Social Impact & Sustainability Manager Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: 5+ Month Contract Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to source, develop, and publish compelling social impact and sustainability stories. • Create high-quality content including case studies, blog posts, thought leadership pieces, and other storytelling assets. • Lead stakeholder interviews to gather program insights and translate complex initiatives into engaging, audience-friendly content. • Develop and execute content strategies that support global Social Impact & Sustainability programs and campaigns. • Build and improve knowledge management processes, content repositories, and cross-functional collaboration tools. • Manage and enhance reporting for external content platforms using Google Analytics, including dashboards and performance insights. • Measure content effectiveness and recommend improvements based on analytics and audience engagement. • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for social impact content initiatives. • Collaborate with global and regional teams to strengthen knowledge sharing and ensure consistent messaging across programs. Must-Have Skills • 5+ years of experience in Communications, Content Strategy, Content Marketing, Social Impact, Sustainability, CSR/ESG, or a related field. • Strong communications and content development experience with exceptional writing, editing, copywriting, and storytelling skills. • Experience interviewing stakeholders and gathering program information to create compelling narratives. • Ability to translate complex business and program information into concise, engaging, audience-focused content. • Experience creating and maintaining content repositories, knowledge management systems, and program documentation. • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, including dashboard creation, reporting, performance analysis, and generating actionable insights. • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously. • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organization. Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience supporting Social Impact, Sustainability, ESG, CSR, nonprofit, financial inclusion, or purpose-driven initiatives. • Knowledge of information architecture and knowledge management best practices. • Experience working with regional and global teams across multiple geographies. • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Experience with SharePoint or other knowledge management platforms. • Experience managing project budgets and content production workflows. Education Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Sustainability, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred. An advanced degree is a plus. A reasonable, good-faith estimate of the hourly pay rate for this position is $40-45/hour on W2.
