Role description
Data Analyst 1 New York, NY(Fully onsite) 12 Months Summary: • The main function of the Data Analyst is to provide business intelligence support and supporting areas by means of both repeatable and ad hoc reporting delivery reports (charts, graphs, tables, etc) that enable informed business decisions. Job Responsibilities: • Analyzes performance of process activities, identifies problem areas, and presents findings in clear, concise charts, graphs, tables, or summaries. • Establishes standardized methods of recording, tracking and reporting on activity. • Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes. • Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Skills: • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction. • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated knowledge of one or more key information service standards such as SDLC, ITIL, QA/testing, Project Management, Six Sigma, etc. • Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. • 0-2 years of experience required. • Process certification, such as, Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, CMMI. KEY RESPONSIBILITES/REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities • Working closely with internal stakeholders, translate business requirements into SQL queries and Python scripts for Ad Hoc analysis and custom reporting solutions • Transform and cleanse outputs into meaningful analysis for business/sales teams • Explore data to identify client ad performance opportunities, trends and anomalies, contribute to new reporting capabilities/solutions. • Architect data pipelines to connect different data sources and automate reporting flows. • Develop and maintain Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes tailored to evolving client needs. • Tune and optimize current reporting solutions to meet updated client needs, new measurement methodologies, or improve query performance. Qualifications • 3+ years in a related engineering/analytics work. • Strong SQL skills – 2+ years using SQL. • 2+ years of Python experience. • Exposure to Snowflake. • Experience with AWS tools such as IAM, Lambda, EC2 and S3. • Jira, Confluence, GitHub and other agile development tool experience. • Experience with automation, and ability to build custom solutions for unique client needs across various software tools. • Ability to communicate technical roadblocks to non-technical stakeholders. Bonus: • Degree in computer science/engineering or quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics. • Familiarity with media, TV measurement. • Experience designing AB tests. • Big Data / Data Lake Experience. • Exposure to Data Cleanrooms. • Athena Experience.
