Role description
MARS Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled contractor to join our Marketing Data Reporting and Analytics team. In this role, you will be at the center of turning marketing data into actionable insights that fuel our integrated campaign strategy. From defining KPIs and refining learning agendas to ensuring consistent tagging and accurate UTMs, your work will directly support campaign activations, optimization, and performance reporting across consumer-facing marketing channels β including performance marketing, social media, web, and field marketing.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Provide both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, delivering business intelligence that informs key decisions and drives results.
β’ Leverage data to guide actionable recommendations, enabling marketing teams to make iterative improvements throughout campaign lifecycles.
β’ Assess digital media, social media, field collateral, and website performance to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders, cross-functional data and engineering teams, and external agencies to ensure campaign objectives are measurable and aligned through consistent tagging, trafficking, and tracking.
β’ Monitor data integrity and accuracy from analytics platforms, proactively identifying and resolving issues in partnership with relevant teams.
β’ Act as the departmentβs subject matter expert on campaign performance and outcomes, presenting findings to stakeholders as needed.
β’ Create reusable reporting templates and impactful data visualizations, streamlining reporting processes to reduce cross-team time investment.
β’ Establish reporting benchmarks, comparison periods, forecasts, and standardized KPIs across campaigns.
β’ Develop and deliver clear, compelling reports for marketing leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on performance framing.
β’ Provide ad hoc dashboards and workspaces to support campaign program management.
Qualifications
β’ 5+ yearsβ experience with web analytics platforms and channel-level reporting in a marketing context.
β’ Strong understanding of marketing strategies, KPIs, and the full client journey across multiple channels.
β’ Expertise in marketing channel classifications, tag management, ad tech, digital marketing platform interfaces, and UTM tracking parameters.
β’ Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to handle large, varied data sets and normalize them for reporting.
β’ Skilled communicator able to build rapport in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments.
β’ Proven experience delivering and presenting tailored reports to audiences ranging from campaign executors to senior leadership.
β’ Required: Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, data visualization tools (Power BI or Excel), and storytelling through presentations.
β’ Preferred: Experience with ad tech, digital marketing, and SQL.
