Role description
Our client, a digital marketing agency specializing in the healthcare space, is seeking a fully remote Marketing Data Analyst for a short-term freelance engagement. This role will support campaign performance reporting and strategic optimization during a team members temporary leave.
The first week will be focused on onboarding and learning internal processes, followed by two weeks of independent execution of defined tasks and ad hoc requests. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in marketing analytics and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. You must be comfortable stepping into an existing workflow and maintaining consistency in reporting and analysis during a colleagues absence.
This role will be 20-30 hours/week. The position will start on November 11th and go through November 26th.
Marketing Data Analyst Responsibilities
Report on campaign performance and optimize channels through A/B testing, KPI strategy and tracking, customer segmentation, attribution modeling, and data modeling
Validate campaign data accuracy and generate strategic insights and recommendations
Create compelling narratives and overviews for internal media and account teams to review and build upon
Develop dashboards and resources to uncover opportunities for improvement and guide data-driven decisions
Design and conduct A/B tests and provide optimization recommendations
Marketing Data Analyst Requirements
Bachelors degree in statistics, data analytics, applied mathematics, or marketing
Minimum 4 years of agency experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role
Proven ability to turn complex data into strategic recommendations
Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or BigQuery
Experience with Improvado or similar ETL/advanced analytics platforms is highly beneficial
Expertise in data visualization tools (Looker preferred) and marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
Familiarity with MarTech tools including call tracking (Invoca, CallRail), CDPs (Freshpaint, Segment), and CRMs (Salesforce)
Communicate clearly with internal teams and able to work independently
Experience with CRM integration for downstream ROI analysis
Prior experience in healthcare marketing and understanding of healthcare compliance is a plus
