Role description
Position: Marketing Data Analyst Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid preferred) Duration: Long-Term Contract Start Date: Immediate Job Summary: We’re seeking a talented Marketing Data Analyst to join our Chicago-based client’s data and marketing analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), PySpark, and SQL, with a passion for turning marketing and customer data into actionable insights that drive business growth. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Work with marketing and data teams to analyze campaign performance and customer engagement data. β€’ Design and develop data pipelines and transformations using PySpark and SQL to prepare analytics-ready datasets. β€’ Extract, cleanse, and analyze data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other marketing platforms. β€’ Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, and Data Engineering) to optimize marketing strategies. β€’ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company data governance standards. Required Skills & Experience: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field. β€’ 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Marketing Analyst, or similar role. β€’ Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (data extensions, automation studio, journey builder, etc.). β€’ Proficiency in PySpark for data processing and SQL for querying large datasets. β€’ Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent). β€’ Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner. Nice to Have: β€’ Experience with marketing attribution models or campaign optimization. Familiarity with AWS or other cloud data platforms.
