β’ Weβre partnering with a Boston-based marketing organization seeking an Analytics Engineer to support and improve an existing media data environment. This role focuses on maintaining data pipelines, improving reliability, and structuring transformation logic for long-term scalability.
This is a hands-on engineering role working across ingestion, modeling, and warehouse performance.
Responsibilities
β’ Maintain and troubleshoot data ingestion pipelines (APIs, connectors, Python workflows)
β’ Ingest and standardize vendor datasets with inconsistent schemas
β’ Manage and optimize a Google BigQuery environment
β’ Convert legacy SQL transformations into dbt models
β’ Implement partitioning, clustering, and incremental logic to improve performance and cost
β’ Normalize campaign and media naming structures for reporting consistency
β’ Support analysts by producing reliable production tables
β’ Document business logic and data definitions
β’ Ensure reporting continuity during system transition
Required Qualifications
β’ Advanced SQL experience in BigQuery or similar cloud warehouse
β’ Hands-on dbt experience in production environments
β’ Python for ingestion, APIs, or data processing
β’ Experience working with paid media or marketing datasets
β’ Git version control workflows
β’ Comfortable working with legacy or partially documented pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Supermetrics, Fivetran, or similar ingestion tools
β’ Multi-dataset or multi-stakeholder environments
β’ Exposure to BI modeling layers or semantic modeling tool
