Job Title: Marketing Database Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Database Specialist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their marketing operations. This remote, temporary opportunity focuses on maintaining, enhancing, and ensuring the quality and compliance of marketing databases. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data hygiene, database management, and global data privacy compliance while supporting effective campaign execution and reporting.
Work Schedule:
β’ Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM β 5:00 PM EST, with flexibility based on your time zone.
Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Database Specialist:
β’ Maintain database accuracy, completeness, and health through proactive monitoring, validation, and cleansing
β’ Upload, format, and validate data in Excel prior to importing into CRM and marketing automation platforms
β’ Support database hygiene efforts by deduplicating, enriching, and standardizing records
β’ Manage dynamic lists, suppression lists, automation rules, and campaign-related database tasks
β’ Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) through proper segmentation and governance
β’ Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and integrate new data sources and enrichment tools
β’ Support data flows between CRM, marketing automation, and third-party platforms
β’ Develop reports and presentations on database health, growth, and segmentation performance
β’ Assist in applying data governance standards and resolving data quality issues
Qualifications and Skills for the Marketing Database Specialist:
β’ 4+ years of experience managing marketing or sales databases, ideally within B2B or global organizations
β’ Proficiency in Excel for handling large datasets and familiarity with CRM/MAP platforms (Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua)
β’ Knowledge of data enrichment tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, or D&B
β’ Understanding of global data compliance regulations and their impact on marketing practices
β’ Ability to segment audiences and support campaign execution
β’ Strong attention to detail with a passion for database accuracy and optimization
β’ Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
β’ Working knowledge of SQL or Access for basic data querying a plus
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred
