Role description
Master Data & Systems Analyst – Contract Role
Location: West London (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 months initially
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: TBC - likely in the region of £400 - £450 inside IR35
As a Master Data & Systems Analyst, you'll ensure accurate, governed, and high‑quality master data across our client's enterprise systems, including SAP, DEVEX, Esko, Vega, and Blue Planner. You’ll collaborate with digital teams, GCC and business stakeholders to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and support global data initiatives.
What you’ll do:
• Own Master Data: Maintain and update material, vendor, and customer records across SAP, DEVEX, Esko, Vega, Blue Planner and more.
• Drive Optimisation: Act as the go‑to expert for MDM systems, partnering across teams to simplify and automate workflows.
• Champion Governance: Set data standards, define ownership, monitor SLAs, initiate cleansing and deliver clear reporting on data quality KPIs.
• Enable Growth: Support system integrations and simplification projects, configure dashboards, and deliver training for colleagues.
• Innovate: Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and contribute to global/local digital and data initiatives.

• Own and maintain master data across multiple platforms.
• Serve as the MDM systems expert and workflow optimiser.
• Define data governance standards and enforce compliance.
• Track and report on data quality KPIs and SLAs.
• Support integrations, simplification initiatives and dashboard configuration.
• Analyse process gaps and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Apply meticulous attention to detail in all data activities.
• Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly across teams.
• Take initiative and embrace new technologies.
• Ensure full accountability for data integrity and governance adherence.
🎯 Your Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
• Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Master Data Management and SAP ECC or SAP S4/HANA.
• Strong technical skills with workflow tools (WinShuttle, SharePoint).
• Experience with reporting platforms such as Power BI and Snowflake.
• Advanced Excel proficiency — you're the team's spreadsheet expert.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
Desirable Skills
• Exposure to global data governance processes.
• Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
