Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Analyst to join its Business Integrated Solutions Division (BISD). The ideal candidate will support the agencyβs Data Management Team, contributing to both Agile (Sprint) and traditional Waterfall SDLC environments.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality deliverables. The analyst will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand business processes, develop data requirements, and support data governance and integrity initiatives.
Note: Local candidates are strongly preferred due to onsite work requirement (3 days/week).
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze and document business processes, data flows, and lifecycle.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
β’ Conduct data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and entity resolution.
β’ Create metadata documentation and data flow diagrams.
β’ Translate business requirements into technical specifications, epics, and features.
β’ Maintain product backlog and support the Product Owner.
β’ Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with project teams.
β’ Work across functional teams including internal staff, vendors, and contractors.
β’ Recommend process and data improvements to support ongoing optimization efforts.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 10+ years of experience in business data analysis.
β’ 5+ years working as an Agile Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Scrum.
β’ 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data analysis.
β’ Proven ability to define acceptance criteria and manage user story development.
β’ Experience with enterprise data management and data governance.
β’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) certification.
β’ Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and work item tracking tools.
β’ Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Test Complete).
