Job Description:
β’ This will be a client-facing role, so EXCELLENT communication skills in addition to the Consumer Packaged Good industry expertise along with SAP master data governance/ master data management/ data strategy focused projects. We are seeking a Master Data- Business Process Lead to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving transformation in the management of master data items (products and materials) across enterprise ERP and MDM environments. This role requires deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods (Client) industry particularly in distribution models such as direct store delivery (DSD) and warehouse-direct for shelf-stable products. The leader will ensure end-to-end alignment of business requirements, process design, and technology solutions to enable accurate, reliable, and high-quality item master data. Qualifications:
β’ 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Supply Chain, or related business process roles within the Client industry.
β’ Strong understanding of ERP item master (products and materials) and MDM platform functionality.
β’ Hands-on experience leading Agile delivery initiatives.
β’ Proven ability to lead cross-functional workshops, influence stakeholders, and deliver transformation outcomes.
β’ Excellent documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
β’ Deep understanding of route-to-market models, particularly DSD and warehouse-direct, within beverage or food industries.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
Process Design & Transformation Leadership
β’ Develop and document future-state business processes for master data items, ensuring scalability across product categories and route-to-market models (DSD and warehouse-direct).
β’ Apply Client industry best practices in master data management, ensuring compliance with internal data governance policies.
β’ Identify opportunities for process harmonization, automation, and improved data quality.
Systems & Data Knowledge
β’ Leverage strong knowledge of ERP item master data (products and materials all relevant views, including basic data, sales, plant, purchasing, and warehouse management) and MDM capabilities for data governance and workflow.
β’ Understand end-to-end data flows from source systems to downstream applications.
β’ Collaborate with IT and data governance to ensure that item master data is accurate, consistent, and available where needed.
Industry & Route-to-Market Expertise
β’ Apply knowledge of DSD distribution models, ensuring master data supports efficient order-to-cash, logistics, and merchandising operations.
β’ Understand warehouse-direct distribution models for shelf-stable items, ensuring alignment with retail customer requirements and supply chain efficiency.
