Role Overview:
Are you passionate about solving complex supply chain and production challenges? We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Materials Manager to drive operational excellence, optimize workflows, and lead strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in transitioning from legacy systems to modern planning platforms, managing production schedules, capacity, and inventory optimization to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and delight customers.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Create and maintain finite capacity production schedules considering labor, equipment, and material constraints
β’ Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize throughput
β’ Develop short-, medium-, and long-term capacity models; identify and resolve bottlenecks
β’ Monitor and manage inventory levels, replenishment strategies, and working capital
β’ Participate in S&OP to align supply plans with demand forecasts
β’ Release and manage work orders throughout their lifecycle
β’ Set up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules
β’ Leverage SQL, Python, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for capacity modeling and supply plan optimization
β’ Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams
β’ Monitor KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory turns, and supplier delivery performance
β’ Support new product introductions with supply planning requirements
Required Qualifications:
β’ 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or related field
β’ Strong understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
β’ Excellent problem-solving, process improvement, and communication skills
β’ Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
β’ Proficiency in supply chain tools and SQL; data visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI)
β’ Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
β’ Bachelorβs degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Kinaxis Certified Author / Advanced User
β’ APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
β’ Masterβs degree in supply chain management or related technical field
β’ Knowledge of emerging supply chain technologies (IoT, AI/ML)
