Job Title: Inventory & Manufacturing Planner Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Potential for Extension) Hourly Pay: Competitive (Based on Experience) Location: Greater Boston Area (BOS12 or BOS27) Schedule: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Manufacturing Planner to support advanced manufacturing operations for complex robotic and automation systems. This role is responsible for inventory strategy, production planning, configuration management, and manufacturing execution, ensuring materials and production schedules align with engineering and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing planning, inventory control, ERP systems, and cross-functional collaboration within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain inventory control policies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory. • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs). • Build and maintain Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs) with accurate configuration control. • Create and manage finite production schedules based on labor, equipment, and material availability. • Release and manage work orders throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. • Maintain Bills of Distribution, sourcing rules, routings, and manufacturing master data. • Develop capacity plans, identify production bottlenecks, and optimize manufacturing schedules. • Build KPI dashboards to monitor inventory and production planning performance. • Drive continuous process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure successful production execution. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. • Experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations. • Knowledge of forecasting, production planning, sourcing, logistics, and inventory management. • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments. • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools. • Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/MCOs) and Bills of Materials (BOM/MBOM). • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SQL. • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing programs.
