Role description
Key Responsibilities (tailored for an Asset MDM Business Analyst focus)
• Define and support the enterprise vision and roadmap for Asset Master Data Management (MDM), ensuring alignment with broader data strategy across Customer, Product, Vendor, and Finance domains.
• Act as the Business Analyst lead for Asset MDM initiatives, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Design and enhance Asset data models, hierarchies, classifications, and golden record processes to improve consistency and usability across systems.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders (IT, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Product teams) to translate business needs into scalable MDM solutions.
• Drive data governance frameworks for the Asset domain, including ownership models, stewardship processes, approval workflows, and policy adherence.
• Lead Asset master data lifecycle processes such as creation, maintenance, enrichment, de-duplication, archival, and retirement.
• Identify and resolve Asset data quality issues through profiling, root cause analysis, cleansing rules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Define and monitor KPIs for Asset data quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Support integration of Asset master data across ERP, EAM, CMMS, procurement, and reporting platforms.
• Ensure metadata management, lineage, and auditability for Asset data elements across enterprise systems.
• Support enterprise analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making by delivering trusted, governed, and high-quality Asset master data.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, UAT, and change management activities for MDM transformation programs.
