Data Engineer/System Engineer

Job description:
As an Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative professionals around the world. In this role, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing systems by developing and deploying process automation, data management, and reporting solutions to enhance production awareness and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Drive understanding of operational performance by developing and maintaining production reporting and data analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate information for decision-making.
β’ Lead projects to design, develop, and implement processes, procedures, and interfaces that enhance production awareness for final assemblies, sub-assemblies, and new products.
β’ Collaborate with process engineering and technical support teams to implement new systems for equipment launches or process modifications, including defining specifications and functional requirements.
β’ Maintain and execute process verification and validation procedures for automated assembly stations and related manufacturing systems.
β’ Prepare and curate reports, technical documentation, and process validation records.
β’ Support and troubleshoot failures, driving continuous improvement of existing systems and procedures.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree or higher in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution (Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
β’ 1β3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or assembly process development, evaluation, and support within private, public, government, or military sectors.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft and data automation tools, including SQL, Power Apps, Visual Basic (VB), Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Grafana, Workflow, and Snowflake.
β’ Proven technical skills in layout design, data interface development, validation, root cause analysis, and general troubleshooting.
β’ Demonstrated experience deploying data management solutions in production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Effective project management skills, including successful delivery of validated systems with defined acceptance criteria.
β’ Strong engineering and technical background, with knowledge of electrical principles, manufacturing test and assembly equipment, fixturing, testing software, pneumatic controls, PLCs, and I/O systems.
β’ Familiarity with Minitab for capability measurement, process control, Six Sigma, and gauge R&R studies.
β’ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
