Our client is looking for a Metadata Analyst who will play a role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our client’s data assets. You will review and analyze results from automated scans that identify Personally Identifiable Information (PII), validate tagging accuracy, and support compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. In addition, you will help manage data workflows, maintain our system of record, and perform audits to strengthen governance practices across the enterprise. WHAT YOU GET TO DO β€’ Review automated PII tagging results and recommend improvements to tagging rules for greater accuracy. β€’ Conduct audits of the Master System List to ensure accuracy and completeness. β€’ Collaborate with business divisions to update the Master System List by adding new data sources and retiring obsolete ones. β€’ Partner with the integrations team to track Qlik tasks and document updates in the Information Governance Master System List. β€’ Use Snowflake for data management activities; familiarity with other big data tools is a plus. β€’ Manage and execute audit workflows using the custom governance tool. β€’ Maintain and prioritize a backlog of audit tasks to ensure timely completion. β€’ Investigate and resolve tagging discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders. β€’ Support team objectives with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and contribute positively to a collaborative environment. β€’ Document tagging processes, workflow configurations, and audit findings for transparency and consistency. β€’ Leverage metadata repositories, workflow tools, and data catalogs to drive governance activities. WHAT YOU BRING β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field, or equivalent experience. β€’ 2–3 years of hands-on experience with data catalogs, workflows, tagging, and auditing. β€’ Working knowledge of Snowflake; additional big data platform experience preferred. β€’ Proficiency in metadata management, audit processes, and compliance frameworks. β€’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret scan results and audit findings. β€’ Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a team-first mindset. β€’ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Creative problem-solving ability and adaptability to evolving business needs. Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS β€’ Hourly range is $30/hr - $35/hr based on shift, experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
