About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant to design, develop, and implement end-to-end BI solutions using the Microsoft data stack. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data modeling, ETL processes, dashboard development, and business analytics using Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Azure Data Services.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Design and develop data models, ETL workflows, and data warehouses using SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Create intuitive, visually appealing, and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or SSRS.
• Optimize SQL queries and ensure high performance of data models and reports.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, flat files, APIs, etc.) into consolidated reporting solutions.
• Implement data governance, security, and access control standards across BI platforms.
• Conduct user training and support adoption of BI tools across business units.
• Stay updated with Microsoft BI ecosystem updates, including Power BI Service, Fabric, and Azure Synapse.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
• Strong SQL and DAX skills with experience in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, etc.).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Databricks is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Experience integrating BI solutions with Dynamics 365, SharePoint, or Power Platform.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps for data.
