Job Title: Azure Data Architect (Microsoft Fabric)
Location: Remote/Hybrid Experience: 8+ years
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Azure Data Architect with deep expertise in the Microsoft Fabric platform to design, develop, and govern enterprise-scale analytics and data-platform solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders and senior leadership to translate requirements into a coherent data-platform architecture.
β’ Define and maintain the data-architecture roadmap including ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics layers using Microsoft Fabric.
β’ Design end-to-end data solutions: ingestion pipelines, lakehouses/warehouses, semantic layer, analytics consumption, and real-time capabilities.
β’ Architect and guide modeling of data (conceptual, logical, physical) ensuring consistency, performance, and reusability.
β’ Oversee migration of existing platforms (on-premises or legacy cloud systems) to Fabric-centric architecture.
β’ Work with data-engineering and analytics teams to implement solutions (Azure Data Factory, SQL, Synapse, Fabric pipelines, OneLake).
β’ Build and maintain parameterized, reusable ADF pipelines with dynamic configurations.
β’ Integrate ADF with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across Fabric solutions.
β’ Monitor, tune, and optimize performance of data pipelines and storage solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
β’ 7+ years of experience in data architecture, with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse/Data Lake, Data Lake Storage Gen2, and associated Azure services.
β’ Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development, performance tuning, and automation.
β’ Proven ability to design and develop data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and orchestrating data from multiple on-prem and cloud sources.
β’ Experience with lakehouse and warehouse architectures (Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse, Delta Lake, etc.).
β’ Exposure to Customer Data Platform (MS Customer Insights Data and Journeys).
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
β’ Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
