Microsoft Purview Engineer
Overview
We're looking for a skilled Microsoft Purview Engineer to implement and manage enterprise security and compliance solutions. This role is crucial for protecting sensitive data, enforcing information protection policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Responsibilities
β’ Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview tools for data loss prevention (DLP), insider risk management, and information protection.
β’ Configure sensitivity labels, encryption policies, and access controls to secure data across cloud and hybrid environments.
β’ Integrate Purview with other security platforms, such as Microsoft Defender and Sentinel, to improve threat detection and response.
β’ Monitor and respond to security incidents related to data access and usage.
β’ Work closely with cybersecurity, compliance, and IT teams to align Purview configurations with organizational security policies.
β’ Provide technical guidance and training on Purviewβs security and compliance capabilities to other teams.
Qualifications
β’ 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, and Azure security services.
β’ A strong understanding of data protection, identity and access management, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Microsoft Information Protection.
β’ Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
β’ Relevant certifications, such as SC-400, SC-200, or AZ-500, are a plus.
