Role description
Position Title: AI Architect (8+ yearsβ experience)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH and Dallas, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Acceptable Time Zone(S): EST - Flexible if located in hub outside of EST
Schedule: M-F 8-5 EST
Intended length of assignment: March 2027

Function of the group/initiatives/projects: The team is partnering with J the Al data group, right to enable client with M365 agent adoption and then roll out of agents to line of business users and then for business application users.
Team dynamic: Will be joining an established onshore team. Other roles include product owners, data engineerβs various levels, infrastructure architects.
Role/Responsibilities:
β’ Role Summary We are seeking an AI Architect with deep Microsoft 365 expertise to define and implement enterprise architecture patterns for Copilot, Copilot Studio, connector onboarding, data access, orchestration, identity, and governance.
β’ This role will establish scalable design patterns for AI agents, grounded enterprise experiences, secure data connectivity, and controlled rollout across environments.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Define reference architecture for enterprise AI on Microsoft 365 and adjacent platforms.
β’ Lead architecture for Copilot, Copilot Studio, connector patterns, Power Platform integration, and secure data access.
β’ Establish standards for environment strategy, identity, authorization, data boundary enforcement, and lifecycle management.
β’ Design reusable patterns for grounded AI, orchestration across systems, and agent-to-agent collaboration.
β’ Evaluate and guide integration patterns for synced/indexed knowledge, federated access, custom connectors, and external systems.
β’ Partner with engineering teams on implementation standards, Dev/Test/Prod strategy, ALM, and operational readiness.
β’ Work with security, governance, and compliance teams to ensure architecture aligns with enterprise controls.
β’ Provide architecture reviews, technical guidance, and solution governance for AI use cases. Required Skills / Experience
β’ Strong architecture experience across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and enterprise integration.
β’ Deep understanding of identity, authentication, authorization, data governance, and environment strategy.
β’ Experience designing scalable cloud/platform patterns with reusable services and integration frameworks.
β’ Strong understanding of enterprise search/grounding, connector enablement, and AI/automation solution architecture.
β’ Ability to produce architecture artifacts, standards, and executive-ready technical recommendations. Preferred
β’ Experience with MCP-style interoperability, agent orchestration, reporting-enabled AI solutions, or platform governance.
β’ Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
β’ Exposure to Fabric, Power BI semantic models, and enterprise data enablement.
Must Have Skills:
β’ Strong architecture experience across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and enterprise integration.
